After a bit of shopping in the town, we headed off for Abingdon Lock for a pumpout and water, plus hopefully a skip for the old chair
Good result for the skip and water, but the pumpout machine was out of action awaiting the attention of an engineer, promised within the hour, so we had lunch and waited, another good result in the end as we got a free pumpout for testing purposes.
With the weather forecast getting worse, we decided to push on for Oxford, ended up a late finish for us after 5, just catching the lockkeeper at Osney and mooring up outside The Waterman's Arms, very nice spot, hard to believe it is still the River Thames as it is very canal like here.
