What a sunny day, Gecko went passed us at 8:30 so we / I (as Carrie was still in bed) made the decision to go with them as it was too good an opportunity to miss, someone to share the locks with, got into a rhythm and made good progress ever upwards.
Meeting up with Tina and Dave about a third of the way up, continued to make good progress on to the top and made it in time for a Sausage and Bacon Bap from the BBQ outside the cafe, it only took us 4 hours, not bad as we not in a rush
A trip was made to the Hatton Country World, very busy, but then again it is a bank holiday, managed to only buy some nostalgia sweets, returned to the boat for dinner
Many thanks to Tina and Dave for the help with the locking along with Harry and Alfie, also thanks to Peter & Margaret on NB Gecko for sharing the locks and getting going us earlier than usual
